Alicia Nicole’s Story

Being a single mother I worked hard to provide the best life I could for my daughter. She’s now 18 and heading off to college. I became complacent in my job, not caring about being at a dead end job as long as I was making enough to just get by. Even though I needed a roommate to make ends meet, even though I haven’t had medical, dental, or vision insurance for over 10 years. I was making just enough to be able to save a little bit of money but completely unhappy in what I do.

Fall of 2021, quit my job to help out my mother in her business. While I was living off of my savings I was happier than I ever in my work life. The ability to access my creative side completely washed away all the stress and anxiety I had been suffering for the last for years. Unfortunately June 2022 I had to leave working with my mother and get a job because you can only live so long off of your savings before poof it is gone. Immediately the depression and anxiety closed back in and I had multiple physical issue come to light again. My body completely rebelling against the labor intensive position. I decided to launch my own website to pursue my passion of creating through designing items.

I want to find my own voice and in my journey help other women and parents to find themselves again. We are more than the roles we play; mother, father, daughter, friend, worker, co-worker, student. Those aren’t who we are. Let’s find our passion. Let’s express ourselves. Why do we conform to what we think society wants us to be. Whether it is clothing, journals, home decor, our cars, etc we don’t have to fit it. We need to be true to us. I am finding my passion through my designs. I want to help you express your passion through my designs too. Be authentically, unapologetically you.
